At WKS Surgery, we believe that ongoing research is the cornerstone to medical discovery, which allows us to explore new scientific frontiers that in turn will potentially lead to novel and advanced therapies in the future for the greater community.
At WKS Surgery, we have a close affiliation with the Gillies McIndoe Research Institute (GMRI), which is a world class state of the art research facility in Wellington city.
We currently have ongoing research interests and programmes examining cancer of the colon, liver and pancreas, and also diabetes and insulin resistance.
Please feel free to enquire if you have any questions regarding any of our research programmes.
